Linda Heater Donhiser

Linda Heater Donhiser, 81, of Morgantown passed after a short illness on Friday, October 16, 2026. She was daughter of the late Chuck and Thelma Heater of Bruceton Mills and Morgantown.

Linda was born on May 17, 1945. She attended University High School; worked in various retail stores in the area and went on to cook for Monongalia County Board of Education where she retired. She was also a lifelong member of VFW 2523. She, along with her husband, regularly attended Highland Park Methodist Church.

Charles and Linda enjoyed showing their 1965 Mustang convertible in many car shows throughout the area. She was an avid fan of playing bingo and enjoyed bowling as well.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Charles Donhiser, of 63 years; son, Terry Donhiser; grandsons, Justin and Daniel Donhiser of Morgantown; granddaughter, Billie Morris; sisters, Audrey Hitt of Ravenswood and Charlene Brown of Ocala, FL; sister-in-law, Penny Donhiser of Johnstown, PA, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Christina Donhiser; grandson, James Nicholson; brother-in-law, Bob Donhiser and nephew, Peyton Brown.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Wednesday, October 21st from 4-7 PM and again on Thursday, October 22nd from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Stephen Prince officiating. Interment will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
