Margaret Virginia Clise

Virginia Fowler Lowe Clise of Morgantown went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 30, 2014. She was born on April 22, 1918, in Beechwood, WV, a daughter of the late Margaret Slusser Fowler Williams and Charles N. Fowler. Virginia worked at the A&P supermarket in Morgantown for many years and later was a homemaker who loved gardening, quilting, and visiting with her many friends. She was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, a loving mother, a devoted grandmother, and a cherished aunt. She is survived by a son, John E. Lowe and wife Mary Ellen, and a daughter JoAnn Rowan and husband Larry. She is also survived by a step-son, Gary Clise; granddaughters, Amy and Angela; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by husbands, John Lowe and Doris Edgar Clise, as well as a daughter, Linda Lowe Spadafore and son-in-law, Frank Spadafore; a grandson, Larry Lynn Rowan and a sister Genevieve Fowler. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Ellery, Sartoris, Coy, Frank, and Ransel Fowler. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV, on Thursday, November 6th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Douglas Miller officiating.
