Marianne Straface

Marianne Straface, 89, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 at the home of her daughter, Linda with her children at her side. She was born September 12, 1930 in Eger, West Germany, a daughter of the late Lorene and Anne (Salfer) Kostler. She was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and loved her "granddogs." In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, swimming, and going to the beach. Mrs. Straface is survived by her children, Joseph G. Straface and his wife Ashley of Naples, FL, Linda Kosten and her husband Robert Holt of Morgantown, and Jennifer Straface and her husband Tom Konchesky of Morgantown; grandchildren, Michael Straface, Logan Straface, Kerri Kosten, Chad Kosten and his wife Kayli, Jake Konchesky, Ty Konchesky, and Josie Konchesky; and sister, Margaret Kostler. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Straface. In keeping with her wishes, cremation services have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home. Friends and family will be received at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 3334B University Ave., Morgantown, on Monday, January 20th from 4-7 PM. A Vigil Service will be held at 6:30PM on Monday to conclude the evening visiting. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, January 21st from 10 AM until the time of the funeral mass at 11 AM with Father John V. DiBacco as celebrant. The family would like to thank Evergreen Assisted Living for the care they gave Mrs. Straface over the last five years.
