Marlyn Joan Hilling Johnson Messenger, 79, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital of Morgantown, WV. Marlyn was born in Morgantown on December 6, 1936, the daughter of the late Vernon Vincent Hilling and the late Hilda Mary (Hilling) Hilling. She is survived by her children: Michael Johnson, Mark (Marie) Johnson, Rebecca (Carl) Warnke, Kevin Johnson, and Missy Messenger. Grandchildren: Josh Johnson, Danielle Warnke, Samantha Warnke, Logan Lewis, and Nathan Lewis. Brother: Richard (Betty) Hilling. Aunts: Frances Hilling, Janice Hess, Joann Woods, Patty Hilling; and several nieces and nephews She was predeceased by her parents and her siblings, Barbara Hilling and Ronald Hilling; and daughter in law, Kim Nailler. Hastings Funeral Home in Morgantown has been entrusted with arrangements. Friends and family will be received at Nicholson Chapel Church, Summers School Rd., Morgantown, on Thursday, July 21st from 4 PM until the time of the service on Friday, July 22nd at 11 AM with John Conaway officiating.
