Martha Alice Taylor Roebuck

Martha Alice Taylor Roebuck, 88, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Preston Co. on July 4, 1926, a daughter of the late Leon Taylor and the late Lottie (DeBerry) Taylor. Survivors include her half-sister, Lucille Newlon of Morgantown, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woody Roebuck; six brothers and three sisters. Martha enjoyed playing bingo, knitting and crocheting, and working crossword puzzles and word finds. She loved a good cup of hot tea in the morning, and snacking on sweets. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV on Friday, January 2 from 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM Following the funeral service, her wishes for cremation will be honored by her family, and inurnment will follow at a later date in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Herring, WV.
