Mary Louise Miller

Mary Louise Miller, 90, Morgantown, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born April 26, 1927 in Morgantown, daughter of the late Simon Peter West and Catherine (Brewer) West. She was a 1945 graduate of Morgantown High School. In 1946 she married her wonderful husband of 42 years, William A. Miller. Mary was an amazing woman. Every child should be blessed with a parent or grandparent like Mary. On the weekends you could find her at yard sales or at the farmers market. She also enjoyed visiting Cheat area library. Mary spent many hours volunteering her time at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital gift shop. Mary is survived by her son and his wife, William E. and Debra K. Miller of Morgantown; a sister, Betty Arnott of St. Mary’s; her grandchildren, Mary J. Miller and Christina Miller, both of Morgantown; great-grandchildren: Shanelle Miller, Kaitlyn Pride, Abby Pride, Donavan Rodriguez, Angel Rodriguez, and Gabriella Rodriguez. She was very excited for the arrival of her first great great-grandchild due April 2018. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a very special nephew and niece, Howard Bussey of Parkersburg and Arlene Fredlock of Herndon, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Miller; her brothers: John, Bob, Bill, Ed and Chester; and a sister, Edith Bussey. Mary was a beautiful soul and will sadly be missed by many. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, Tuesday, Nov. 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday Nov. 8th from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service with the Rev.
