Mary Louise Hodge Wilson, 88, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Monongalia General Hospital of Morgantown, WV. She was born in Stone Mines, WV on February 18, 1926, a daughter of the late Sav-Re Hodge and the late Etta (Adelsberger) Hodge. Survivors include one son, Richard D. Wilson and his wife Marie of Fairchance, PA; her grandchildren, Timothy, Darrell and Kathleen Wilson, Timothy Nickerson, and Captain Amanda Raymer; her great-grandchildren, Ameilia and Miles Raymer, and Elizabeth Nickerson; two step-grandchildren, Joseph and Sandra Utzman; two brothers, Joseph “Frank” Hodge of Cheat Lake and Elmer C. “Tub” Hodge of Manassas, VA;son-in-law, Charles Nickerson and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathleen McGee Nickerson; by her siblings Laurabelle Virginia, James Lloyd, Sav-Re, Henry Arnold, Nettie Kathleen, Charles Arlington, William Francis and George Washington. Mrs. Wilson was a graduate of Morgantown High School and retired from the Monongalia County Assessor’s Office after 25 years of service. At her request, there will be no visitation or services, and her wishes for cremation will be honored by her family. Private inurnment will take place at a later date in the Zion Cemetery in Cheat Lake. Hastings Funeral Home of Morgantown has assisted the family with the arrangements.
