Mary Alice Nicholson, 68, of Morgantown, passed away early Sunday morning, September 2, 2012 at Sundale Nursing Home of Morgantown, where she had been a resident for the past seven years.She was born in Eckles, WV on February 28, 1944, a daughter of the late Ernest and Sarah (Pugh) Dix, and step-daughter of the late Ed Emminger.Survivors include her two children, David M. Stanley and wife Becky, and Christy Lynn Johnson and husband Richard, all of Morgantown and three grandchildren, Joseph Johnson, Jeremy Stanley and Jeffrey Stanley.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank âBudâ Dix, and a sister, Peggy Lang.Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Tuesday, September 4th from 4-8 PM and again on Wednesday, September 5th from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM with Reverend Joseph Donham officiating.
