Mary Williams

Mary Lucille Williams, daughter of the late Erskine Miller Neff and Ida Pearl Vandall, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2019, at the age of 93. Born on February 16, 1926, Mary (or Lucy as she was known to many) grew up in Bingham, WV and went on to work at the Louie Glass Co. in Weston, WV where she met her husband. They moved to Baltimore, MD where they spent many years before retiring to Sutton, WV. Mary was an avid homemaker, cook, gardener, caretaker, lover of animals, and beloved matriarch. Always quick to offer sage advice and having the courage to be a guiding light for others, Mary will be deeply missed by the many lives that she touched. She is survived by her daughter, Mary A. Williams, her granddaughter, Anna Lee Welch, and her grandson, John M. Gruzs, with whom she made her home. She is preceded in death by 9 siblings, her husband Herbert W. Williams, her daughter Patricia L. Gruzs, and her son Herbert R. Williams Visitation with the family will be held at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV on Monday, July 22, 2019, from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm with Chaplin Craig Falkenstine officiating.
