Michael David Mcelhaney

Michael David McElhaney, 65, of Morgantown, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at his residence. Michael was born in Washington, Pennsylvania, on June 29, 1952, the son of the late Harry Bert McElhaney, Jr., and Nancy Gayle Grimm McElhaney. Michael obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry from WVU and was awarded magna cum laude. He spent his career working for Allegheny Power Company for 33 years. He enjoyed very much the outdoors and reading. Michael is survived by children Rachel Devor and husband, Josh, and Benjamin McElhaney and wife, Caitlin Bennett; their mother, Dawn McElhaney; grandchild, Quentin Devor; and siblings Sue Sedlitsky and Peggy Baker. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to RDVIC, P. O.
