Michael James Bretzman

Michael James Bretzman, 52, of Morgantown, died Wednesday, December 28th at his residence from natural causes. He was born December 30, 1964 in Morgantown, a son of Sharon (Taft) Zeni of Morgantown and the late Warner James Bretzman. He was employed for several years at Town Hill Tavern in Morgantown. He loved his pets and was also an avid guitar player in the Morgantown area. In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his sister, Kimberly Pompura and her husband Joseph and their son, John Michael Pompura, all of Morgantown; his Aunt Judy Summers and husband Dave and his cousin David. In addition to his father, he is also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Warner James and Ruth Lipscomb Bretzman and his maternal grandparents, Walter Earl and Kathryn Mary Taft. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Monday, January 2nd from 2-4 and 6-8. A scriptural wake service will be held at 7:30 PM on Monday to conclude the evening visitation with Deacon John Yaquinta. Visitation will continue at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1 Guthrie Lane, Morgantown, on Tuesday, January 3rd from 10 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM with Father Carlos Melocoton, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
