Milka Christopher

Milka (Zilkanich) Christopher, 94, of Westover, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at her residence. She was born in Morgantown on April 29, 1924, the daughter of the late Stanley Zilkanich and the late Mary (Czgon) Zilkanich. Milka grew up in Morgantown and graduated from Morgantown High School. She enjoyed gardening and especially loved growing flowers. She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Buchsbaum, and Debbie Christopher, both of Morgantown; grandchildren: Nathaniel Buchsbaum of Brooklyn, NY, Rachael Buchsbaum of Morgantown, Michael Buchsbaum of Jacksonville, FL, and Jordan Wishart of Morgantown; and one great-granddaughter, Emrey Wishart. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Christopher; son Charles W. Christopher, II; son in law, Roy Buchsbaum; granddaughter Jennifer Lemming along with 11 siblings. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV on Friday, November 23 from 2 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 3 p.m. with Elder Dennis Thomas, officiating.
