Norma Fern Cleaver (Foltz), age 101, of Morgantown, West Virginia, passed away
peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on January 13, 2025.
Norma was born on October 3, 1923, in Wheeler, Illinois.
She married Lon Cleaver in 1946, and they had three daughters. She and Lon lived in several different states where she formed many lifelong friendships, enjoyed her career as a bank teller, and always made a comfortable home wherever they lived.
Norma enjoyed spending time with her family, and was lovingly known as Nana to her
grandchildren and more recently as Gigi to her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Joel) Allen, Jan (Warren) Anderson and Lana Butler, her grandchildren Jess (Ryan Shade) Anderson, Audrey (Bobby) Thompson, Jack Butler, great grandchildren, Madison and James Shade, and Finn Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Marjorie Foltz, her loving husband of 76 years, Lon Cleaver, her brother, Dean Foltz, her sister Ruth (Stacey) Davis, and her son-in-law, Richard Butler.
A special thank you to Jill Buterbaugh and her staff at the Village at Heritage Point for the attention and love they bestowed on her every day, and to the nursing staff and caregivers at Amedisys Hospice for their care and concern.
A private inurnment is planned at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minnesota.
