Norma McKee Morris, 83, of Newport Street, Morgantown, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011, at her home.Norma was born in Morgantown on March 7, 1928, the daughter of the late Willis Luther McKee and Maude Hester McKee.She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and a life member of the Monongalia General Hospital Auxiliary and a life member of the Service League of Morgantown. Norma was also a past chairman of the Ball of the Year and she was an avid Bridge player. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by one son, Arthur L. Morris, III & wife Sylvia of Morgantown one grandson, Douglas Strader & wife Amy of Greensboro, NC three great-grandchildren, Ainsley, Benjamin & Blue Strader.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Morris, Jr.A memorial service will be held at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, from 2:00p.m. Monday, April 11 until the time of the service in the funeral home at 3:00p.m.with Pastor John Sonnenday officiating. Inurnment will be held at the West Virginia National Cemetery, Pruntytown. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions may be made in Normaâs memory to either the Foundation of Monongalia General Hospital, 1200 J. D. Anderson Drive, Morgantown, WV 26505 or to the three volunteer Fire Departments, Westover, Granville or Star City
