Patricia Ann O’Connell

Patricia A. O’Connell, 76 died March 9, 2020 at WVU Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 22, 1943 in Wheeling, WV to the late Al and Emma Cappas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband “Coach” Thomas O’Connell. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Paul and Libby Cappas; her children, Lorrie (O’Connell) and Craig Sanford, Tom and Leslie O’Connell, Cathy (O’Connell) Pack and Greg Thorngate, Billy and Tracey O’Connell; ten grandchildren, Drew O’Connell, Justin Lang, Cassandra and Shaun Solan, Tiffany Peterson, Braeden and Ashley O’Connell, Taylor O’Connell, Brooke O’Connell, Ryan Pack; nine great-grandchildren, Elle Solan, Dylan Solan, Kyler May, Oakley O’Connell, Meadow Solan, Jakson O’Connell, Dallas O’Connell, Charlotte Solan, Sawyer Solan; and other survivors include many nieces and nephews. Patricia, “Nanny”, lived a legacy of constant encouragement and unconditional love that touched countless lives. Her kindness and nurturing spirit were a blessing to all who knew her.
