Paul Mattern

Paul Warren Mattern, 80, of Maidsville, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born in Franklin, PA, on November 2, 1938, the son of the late Paul LeRoy and Minnie (Everett) Mattern. Paul retired as a U. S. Postal Clerk after 35 years. He enjoyed music, fishing, hunting, Lions Club, vacationing and spending time with his family, and his grandchildren. Paul will be remembered by his loving wife of 48 years, Agnes (Adams) Mattern; children, Dwayne Mattern, Jackie Mattern, Scott Mattern (wife, Sarah) and Jen Riedmann (husband, Ed): grandchildren, Blake (Anna), Preston (fiance-Bethany), Jeffrey (Tieairra), Samuel, Isaac, Josiah and Aiden his "Dutchman"; and sisters, Bonnie Stone and Virginia Kay Swanger. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his sisters; Darley Mattern and Marsha Reed. Family and friends will be received at Wesley United Methodist Church, 503 North High Street, Wednesday, March 27th, from 3 – 7 p.m. and again on Thursday, March 28th from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. with Dr. Rev.
