Ralph Fike

Ralph Fike, 93, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at his residence.Ralph was born in on December 19, 1918, the son of the late Henry and Lena Fike.Ralph was a Veteran of WWII where he received a Purple Heart He also graduated from West Virginia University with Masters Degree and was employed as a Agricultural Agent for several years. After the war he moved to Jupiter, FL where he married Mary Frances Smith and became a teacher of Molecular biology for many years. After Mary passed he moved back to Morgantown and lived with his sister. He is survived by three siblings, Milton Fike of Buffalo, NY, Bob Fike of Louisville, KY and sister, Genevieve Fike Baehr of Morgantown, all four siblings are graduates of WVU, having achieved Bachelors and Masters degrees and all four were and are over 90 years of age. In accordance with Mr. Fikeâs wishes, his body will been cremated, And his wishes are to be scattered at sea.Hastings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
