Rita Ryan

Rita Grace Ryan, 93, of Morgantown, passed away May 18, 2017, at Sundale Nursing Home, Morgantown. She was born in Banning, PA on August 29, 1923, a daughter of the late George and Susanna Haley Fasching. Rita’s biggest passion was raising her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also found great joy in spending time at her summer home in Moorefield, WV. Rita is survived by her daughter -in-law, Kendra Ryan of Kill Devil Hills, NC; Grandchildren: Parker Ryan and wife Indra, and Kristi Ryan Neal, all of Kill Devil Hills, NC; Great grandchildren: Emma Ryan and Ryan Neal of Kill Devil Hills, NC; Brother, Thomas M. Fasching of Harrisburg, PA; 10 loving nieces and nephews; and longtime loving neighbor and friend, Kathy Dalzot. In addition to her parents, Rita is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Ryan; son, John T. Ryan; brothers: Joseph L. Fasching, and George E. Fasching; and sisters: Elsie M. Colebank, and Eileen Smith. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Thursday, May 25, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday, May 26, at 9AM until the time of funeral service at 10AM with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Cemetery.
