Mr. Robert F. âFreddieâ Combs, Jr., 63, a resident of Hendricks, WV died Monday evening July 11, 2011, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Freddie was born in Parsons, WV on May 11, 1948, a son of the late Robert Frederick and Lenora Armstrong Combs. He was a graduate of Parsons High School Class of 1968. He was retired as a correctional officer from the Davis Center. Freddie was a lifelong member of the Hambleton United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Thomas Fairfax Lodge #174, 32 degree Mason. He was also a member of the OSIRIS Temple Shrine of Wheeling. In addition he was a member of the Fraternal Order of Davis, WV.He is survived by a daughter Mrs. Roger (Lori) Cale of Parsons, WV, three sisters Mrs. Phyllis Henline of Blackman Flats, Mrs. Linda Rish of Martinsburg, WV and LuAnn (Bradley) Barton of Hambleton, WV, a brother, Steven (Pamela Collins) Combs of Hendricks, WV. In addition he is survived by two grandchildren, Bailey and Dillon Cale of Parsons, WV as well as four nieces, Drema Wesaloski, Sandra Vanscoy, Suzanne Egoff and Leslie Combs Barton, one nephew Robert Allen Burton and five great-nephews Travis and Trevor Vanscoy, Isaac and Eden Burton Alex Wesaloski, two great-neices Alayna Wesaloski and Raina Burton. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, July 16, 2011, at the Hambleton United Methodist Church, where friends will be received from 11am until the 1pm service with Rev. Loren Metzner officiating. Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown is in charge of the arrangements.
