Robin Ann Prendergast

Robin Ann Prendergast, age 66, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026. She was born in Fairmont, WV on December 26, 1959 to Patricia Ann (Miller) Prendergast and the late John Richard Prendergast.

After graduating from Fairmont Senior High School in 1978, Robin attended Fairmont State University where she earned her associate's degree in nursing. She perfectly blended her passion for helping others with her professional career, finding her true calling as a registered nurse. Robin had a gift for caring and bringing comfort to those who needed it most.

Robin is survived by her mother, Patricia Ann "Patty" (Miller) Prendergast of Vero Beach, FL; daughters, Jasmine Ann Smithbauer (David) of Morgantown, WV and Brittany Clingan Fisher (Sean) of Pittsboro, NC; grandchildren, Aveline Smithbauer, Emarie Smithbauer, Amelia Fisher, and Jack Fisher; sisters, Tamara McLaughlin of Vero Beach, FL and Terri Prendergast of Fairmont, WV; brother, Jay Prendergast (Ann Corwin) of Fairmont, WV; nephew, Brandon Clingan (Danielle) of Charles Town, WV; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Robin was preceded in death by her father, John Richard "Dick" Prendergast.

Her proudest accomplishment was her family, whom she loved bringing together by hosting dinners, cooking delicious meals, and filling her home with warmth and hospitality.

Robin touched the lives of many in both her personal and professional life and she’ll be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
