Rosalie Gillum, 91, of Cleveland, OH, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025. She was born in Bretz, WV on October 19, 1933, a daughter of late Howard and Rita Gillum.
Affectionately known to her family as RoRo, she was a devoted sister, aunt, great aunt, and great-great-aunt, who loved helping family and friends or anyone in need.
She retired from the Eveready Battery Company in Cleveland, OH and was a long-time member of the Bosworth Road Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her nieces, Karen Thompson (Steve), Janet Nestor (Dave), and Regina Walker; nephews, Kevin Gillum (Cindy), Paul Junior Gillum II (Donna), Samuel Gillum, Donnie Gillum, Mark Gillum (Patty), and Steve Gill; niece-in-law, Sandy Gillum; great and great-great-nieces and nephews; as well as many close friends, including her dear friend, Diane.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Virginia Bates (Wayne); brothers, Paul Junior Gillum Sr. and sister-in-law, Loretta, and Denzil Gillum; as well as nephews, James "Jim" Gillum, Darryl Gillum; and niece, Virginia Cook.
Rosalie was an extremely important member of our family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her dear friend and caregiver, Diane.
Friends and family will be received at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Chapel of Tranquility, 1290 Fairmont Rd. in Westover, on Friday, March 21st from 1:30PM until the time of the committal service at 2:00PM with Pastor Lawrence Rebelo officiating.
Hastings Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
