Ross Allen Knotts

Ross Allen Knotts, 56, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Born in Ames, Iowa, on September 4, 1969, to Darlene Herndon and Eugene Knotts.

 Ross was a man who found his greatest joy in the simplicity of the outdoors. Whether he was fishing a quiet stream, foraging for ramps and ginseng, or simply tending to his lawn, he was most at peace in nature.

Ross leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife, Crystal Knotts; his children, Jacob (Kelsya) Knotts, Haley and Kayla Knotts of Charleston, and Grace Knotts of Morgantown; step-children, Jesse, Zachary, Kyle, and Kaitlin Kramer. His legacy lives on through his granddaughters, Serenity and Angel, as well as Kayden, Jaselyn, Aleyah, Nikko, and William.

The family expresses their deepest gratitude to the staff at Ruby Memorial Hospital for their exceptional care, with a heartfelt thank you to his nurse, Robert, for his compassion during a difficult time.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home.

Friends and family will be received at Nicholson Chapel, 1326 Summers School Rd., on Saturday, February 21st from 11:30AM until the memorial service at 12:00PM.
