Ruby Jean Dalton

Ruby Jean Dalton, 93, of Cobun Creek, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family. Jean was born in Morgantown, on April 5, 1924, the daughter of the late Forrest Runner and Margaret (Wolfe) Runner. Beginning in 1963, she and her husband owned and operated Dalton Dairy and Stables. Jean is survived by three daughters, Judy Dalton Saurborn of Cobun Creek, Jenny Pappano of Monrovia, CA, and Julie Davis and husband, Brink of Morgantown; son J. J. Dalton and wife, Vicki, of Cobun Creek; grandchildren, Gene Allen Saurborn of Cobun Creek, Terry (Punkin) Saurborn and friend Wendy of Cobun Creek, Brina Davis of Westover, Joshua Dalton and Tara Dalton Taylor and husband, Justin all of Cobun Creek; great grandchildren Emily Saurborn, Jayden Dalton, Arena Jean Saurborn, all of Cobun Creek; her favorite nieces and nephews Billie and Richard Bowman, Bobby Ann Murray of Grafton and Gary Mayfield of Powell, Wyoming. The family would like to give special thanks to the following: Morgantown Hospice staff and Dr. Carl Schrader. In addition, a special thanks to all the caregivers: Tammy Dalton, Bernice Feicht, Wendy Saurborn, Wilma Shifflett, Linda Albright, and Patty Dalton. In addition to her parents, her husband of 53 years, James B. Dalton and five siblings predeceased Jean. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 5-9 PM and on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM with Chaplain Craig Falkenstine officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
