Ruth Ellen Marstiller

Ruth Ellen Waters Marstiller, 90, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018, at J W Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born in Morgantown on October 25, 1927, daughter of the late James and Nellie Waters. Ruth was married to Ralph Marstiller for 64 years, who preceded her in death in 2012. She was a graduate of Morgantown High and also a member of the Suncrest United Methodist Church for over 50 years. Ruth was a homemaker and raised three sons. Ruth is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws Dennis Marstiller and wife, Faye, of Oak Hill, WV, Fred Marstiller and wife, Meria, of Morgantown, WV, and Kenneth Marstiller and wife, Jeanette, of Inwood, WV. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Andy Marstiller of Fayetteville, WV, Lori Keller and husband, Jeremy, of Scarbro, WV, Heather Bartlett & husband, Donnie, of Homestead, NC, Carrie Mills and husband, Todd, of Morgantown, WV, Benjamin Marstiller & wife, Mary Beth, of Morgantown, WV, Erin Winters & husband, Steve, of Salem, VA, Christiana Lewin and husband, Aaron, of Martinsburg, and Glenn and wife, Michelle Staubs, of Martinsburg, WV; 14 great grandchildren, Elijah, Jaylen & Micah Keller, Isabella & Carson Bartlett, Braylie & Avery Mills, Alyssa, Brianna and Mason Winters, David, Juliet, Violet and India Lewin; four nieces, one nephew and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and spouse, she is preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Harry and Margaret Headley and one brother, Jimmy Waters. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV, on Sunday, June 24th from 2-6 PM and visitation will continue at Suncrest United Methodist Church, 479 Van Voorhis Road, Morgantown, WV, on Monday, June 25th from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM with Pastor Matthew Johnson officiating.
