Sandra Lee Deprospero

Sandra Chivers Weimer DeProspero, 79, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017, with her family by her side. She was born in Washington, Pennsylvania on July 1, 1937, the daughter of the late Laura Jane (Lytle) and Merle Frederick Chivers. In addition to raising her four children, Sandra worked for the United Way and then began a banking career with Suncrest National Bank eventually working at Huntington National Bank until her retirement. In retirement, she volunteered at The Old Stone House, Auxiliary of Mon General Hospital and Quota Club International of Morgantown before moving to Evergreen Assisted Living where she enjoyed time with her fellow residents and developed a special relationship with the staff. Sandra is survived by her son David Weimer and three daughters, Carol Barlow, Darlene Headley and Christine Smith (Wayne). She is also survived by grandchildren Jacob Galik (Robin), Blaine Headley, Allison Barlow, Taylor Smith, Carly Smith and one sister Cynthia Heiskell (Andrew). Her extended family includes Danny (Jackie), Mark (Valerie), Johnny (Kim), Mario(Terri) DeProspero and Marie (Kevin) Aubrey. In addition she is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Sandra was preceded in death by her husband John DeProspero, her sister Judith Mossburg, daughter-in-law Patty Weimer, grandson Patrick Weimer, and son-in-law Mark Barlow. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home on Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 12-3PM with visitation continuing on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating.
