Sandy Bower

Sandy Bower, 83, of Morgantown, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 22, 2026. She was born in Morgantown, WV, on December 19, 1942, daughter of the late Earl Jay and Ruby (Howell) Wolfe.

Sandy was owner of Coliseum Tax Service and co-owner of Tailgators Bar & Grill in Suncrest. She loved spending time with her family, playing at casinos, and travelling, especially to Myrtle Beach and Cancun. Sandy had a flare of cooking and baking and got great pleasure in serving her friends and family.

Sandy was survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Joe Bower; her children, John Gyorko (Gina), Dave Gyorko (Kristin) and Timothy Gyorko; stepchildren, Chanin Kennedy (Eric), and Becky Tathan (Colin); and Jennifer Bower; grandchildren: Travis, Kaitlyn, Cameron, Bailey, Zach, Mason, Christopher, Megan, Maddie and Abby; and great grandchildren, Juliette, Corbin and Bennett. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sandy is preceded in death by her sister, Mary "Sis" Pancoast.

Friends and family will be received for a visitation at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Wednesday, October 28th from 3-6pm and again on Thursday, October 29th from 4-6pm.
