Sean Patrick Kelley

Listen to Obituary

Sean ("Paddy") Patrick Kelley, 50, died on Sunday, August 15, 2021, as the result of a stroke, surrounded by family. Many knew him from his time in the Morgantown-area music scene (hosting open mics, playing with the Bearded Clams and Hogblast), his time bartending (Prime Thyme, 123 Pleasant Street), or from his long-standing presence as a player for Chico's Bail Bonds, the world's best worst softball team.

He could make anyone feel welcome with a drink, a game of chess, or a good conversation. He loved gaming (D&D, video games, table-top games), music (listening as well as playing), and his dear friends and family, particularly his wife and children. He was a dedicated husband and father, and he will always be a Lost Boy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Erin; his daughter, Lana; his son, Finnian (Morgantown, WV); his parents, Harold and Norma (Carmichaels, PA); his sister, Lisa and husband Scott Miller; his brother, Scott (Carmichaels, PA); his mother-in-law, Amy Donahoe (Morgantown, WV); and his brother-in-law, Scott, and wife Kayla (Morgantown, WV). He is preceded in death by his eldest brother, Michael, and his sister-in-law Judy.

Hastings Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Memorial services will be held in Morgantown at a future date.

He will be missed by many. Until we meet again, second star to the right...
