Sherry Lynn Edwards Hawkins, 62, of Morgantown, West Virginia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 1, 2026. Born on October 25, 1963, she was the daughter of Ruth Ann Willie and the late Amos Willie.
A devoted Christian, Sherry’s faith was the foundation of her life. She found comfort, strength, and purpose in her relationship with God and lived her life guided by love, compassion, kindness, and service to others.
Sherry is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Albert Hawkins; her two sons, Joshua Edwards and Jonathan Edwards; and her treasured granddaughter, Kayla Edwards, who brought immense joy to her life. She also leaves behind her beloved cats, Sylvester and Sunny.
In addition to her mother, Ruth Ann Willie, Sherry is survived by her brothers and sister, Tim Willie of Sycamore Hollow, Wayne Willie of Smithfield, Pennsylvania, and Shannon Wood of Dillsburg, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her father, Amos Willie; her sister, Phoebe Parker of Fairmont, West Virginia; and her twin sister, Terry Wynn Oliverio of Carolina, West Virginia.
Sherry was a 1984 graduate of North Marion High School and was previously employed by Mylan Pharmaceuticals. She was known for her caring heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. She especially cherished her mother and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Whether assisting with household projects, shopping, errands, or simply being there when needed, Sherry faithfully cared for her mother and found great joy in helping those she loved.
Above all, Sherry loved her family deeply and completely. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose kindness touched many lives. While her family mourns her passing, they find comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior and reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
Sherry will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
