Stephen Strader

Stephen Strader, 68, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, May 27, 2019, at his residence. He was born in Buckhannon, WV on April 1, 1951, the son of the late William S. Strader, Sr. and Emily "Bonnie" (Lane) Strader. Stephen graduated from Morgantown High School Class of 1969, and then joined the US Army and served in the Vietnam War. After this, he went on to become a remodeling contractor and served the greater Morgantown area with Goldline Construction for over 30 years. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Strader; his sons, Doug Strader and his wife Amy of Greensboro, NC, Huston Strader and his wife Jessica of Morgantown; grandchildren: Benjamin, Ainsley, Blue, Olivia, and Madison; siblings: Jeanne Strader of Morgantown, Perry Strader of Clarksburg, William "Bill" Strader, Jr. of Bucyrus, OH; and his best friend, Scott Davis. He was preceded in death by his father, William S. Strader, Sr. In accordance with his wishes, cremation services were provided by Hastings Funeral Home/Omega Crematory, and he will be inurned at the West Virginia National Cemetery at a later date.
