Steven Aristedis Stathakis

Steven Aristedis Stathakis, 59, of Morgantown passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017, in Morgantown. Steven was born March 18, 1957 in Bay Shore, New York, the son of James Dimitri and Esther May Griek Stathakis. Steve had a life long love of history and was an Archaeologist, running his own successful Archaeology company. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Jennifer Flowers Stathakis; his mother, Esther Stathakis, and daughter, Savannah Flowers Stathakis; a sister, Eoanna Hoefer; and brother and sister-in-laws: David Flowers, Edward Flowers, and Suzanne Pritchard along with many nieces and nephews. Steven was preceded in death by his father, James Stathakis. In accordance with his wishes, Hastings Funeral Home/Omega Crematory will be providing cremation services. Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Steven’s memory to the Savannah Stathakis Educational Trust, c/o BB&T, 493 Spruce St. Morgantown, WV 26505.
