Steven Boyd Whitten, 48 of Fairmont West Virginia passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 22, 1970, in Saratoga Springs NY, son of the late Ronald Austin Whitten and the late Jeanne Laura Covell. Steven had the sweetest eyes that no one could deny. He was a kindhearted man that loved people, all children, and animals. He had a passion for music. He worked as a Roofer and a Welder throughout his life. Steven had an extensive amount of friends that he adored. He was a loyal man to his family and his friends. Steven is survived by his wife, Vina Whitten sisters, Ronnie Lynn Whitten and her life partner Frank Allen and Jody Marie Kenyon children Cheyenn Whitten, Faith Beagle, Joseph Plue and Zach and Chelsea Olmo. Nieces Erica Richards, Stephanie Fitzgerald, Rachel Geiler, and Emily Geiler. Steven is also survived by his extended family of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins all who loved him so much. In addition to his father Ronald and mother Jeanne Laura, he was preceded in death by his grandmother Lydia Covell, grandfather Frank Covell and Uncle Walter Covell. It brings Steven's family great peace to know that they are all together again. Steven will be cremated and placed beside the women he loved the most our Mother in Hampton NJ with an intimate gathering. There will be a celebration of life, in Saratoga Springs NY, date to be determined. It will be a BIG celebration and we want all to attend. A special thank you is given to the Nurses, Doctors and all the staff in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Ruby Memorial Hospital. They have touched my life and my sister's life by there care that they showed my brother and us and by there heartfelt support. Truly a beautiful team on floor five that we are eternally grateful for. In lieu of donations or flowers, my sister and I ask to honor our brother by loving one another, by spreading peace and joy to one another. To pray for the world on drugs to end. To pray for peace and for love to always win. Peace, Peace, Peace
