Susan Louise Burch

Susan Louise Burch, 71, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 18, 2025.

She was born on March 22, 1954, the daughter of the late Walter and Opal Myers.

Susan found joy in the simple things—she especially loved reading and antique shopping with her husband, Nelson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Nelson Burch; her daughter, Lori Hurley, and husband James Hurley Jr.; her granddaughter, Caitlin Hurley, and her companion, Anthony Lewis; and her sister, Judy Bland.

Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Cremation services will follow. Inurnment will take place at West Virginia National Cemetery at a later date.

The family requests that no flowers be sent to the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Animal Friends of North Central West Virginia, P.O. Box 1090, Dellslow, WV 26531.
