Tammy Smith

Tammy Marie Smith, 40, of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2011, surrounded by her family and close friends. She was born on August 25, 1970, in Morgantown, the daughter of Bonnie Marie Tennant Evanoff. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday and Bible School. Tammy worked as a teacherâs assistant at the Pierpont Christian Pre-School. She enjoyed attending all of her childrenâs school and sports activities, reading, spending time with her family and friends and loved working with children and interacting with the parents at school. She was a loving wife and mother and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, David Smith, her children Katelyn Marie, Kevin Andrew and Kyle Logan Smith all at home a sister, Cassi Tennant, a grandmother, Pauline Tennant, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Mary Ellen Smith as well as aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown from 6-8p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, and from 1-3 & 5-8p.m. on Wednesday, May 11. Visitation will continue at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 309 Baldwin St., Morgantown from 11am-12p.m. on Thursday, May 12. A funeral service will be held in the church at 12p.m. with Rev. Brian O.
