Teresa Carol Moyers, 71, of Morgantown, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Mon Health Medical Center.
Teresa was born on January 14, 1955, the daughter of the late Kenneth Nuce and Loretta (Blosser Nuce) Perry.
Teresa's primary role in life was to be a caring wife for her husband Arthur and a consistent presence in the lives of her family. She was very proud of her family and never missed an opportunity to brag about how great they are. Having no children of her own, "Aunt Tessie" thrived on the lives, stories and pictures from her nieces and nephews. Teresa never met a stranger and would not miss a chance to tell anybody that her brother Randy operated the "big wreckers" for Summers Towing…and did so better than anybody else ever could. She was well versed in medical terminologies and practices and often challenged her doctors and nurses to make sure they knew what they were doing. Teresa was never too proud to ask for discounts for anything and everything and cherished her eligibility for senior discounts. If she was offered anything for free, she would always ask for more than one and would make the case for it because she had to give things to all her nieces and nephews. Teresa had a big heart and her love and compassion for so many people was always the highlight of her life.
Teresa is survived by her loving husband of 47 years Arthur Moyers; siblings Scarlett Mayle, Randy Nuce and wife Kim, Alecta Lawson and husband Russell, Ruthie Hartley and husband Bill, and Kenny Nuce. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and close friends.
In addition to her parents, Teresa is preceded in death by her brother-in-law Edward Mayle.
Friends and family will be received at Nicholson Chapel, 1346 Summers School Rd, Morgantown, WV 26508 on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the church on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 from 10:00 until time of the funeral service at 11:00 am with Pastor Brady McDonald officiating. Interment will follow at Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.
