On August 27 2026, Terry Lee Watson (born 12/12/1960) passed away suddenly following a brief battle with colon cancer.
Even while battling cancer, she continued to strengthen her faith and maintain a positive attitude.
She was born in Pennsylvania but made Morgantown her home. She was a graduate of University High and Fairmont State College. Terry loved playing softball and spending time with her furrbabies, family and friends. She moved to Savannah (Ga) briefly but found she was missing the Mountain State, returning home to Morgantown late last year. Terry left an impression on everyone she met but her true friendships were lifelong. She spent the majority of her working life in banking, moving up from Teller at First National Bank (Huntington Bank) until finally settling into the role of Commercial Loan Reviewer with United Bank. She respected and cared for her banking family. Terry enjoyed attending Rehoboth Fellowship Church in Osage, where she cared for her prayer family deeply.
Terry is survived by her “Partner in Crime” and beloved, Valerie Walker of Morgantown; four sisters – Sharon McDowell of PA, Deb Robuck of PA, Cathy Orban (John) of Fort Martin, Kim Watson of Morgantown; three brother – Scott Watson, Allan Watson, David Watson and all of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.
Terry was proceeded in death by Walter Watson (father), Lillian Watson (mother), Cindy Watson (sister), Jennifer Moore (niece) and JC Orban (nephew).
Family and friends will be received at Hasting Funeral, 153 Spruce St, Morgantown on Thursday, September 3rd from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 PM with Pastor Jeremy Thomas officiating. A committal service will be held at East Oak Grove Cemetery, 1291 Dorsey Ave., Morgantown, on Friday, September 4th at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Terry may be made to the American Cancer Society or the ASPCA.
Condolences may be made to the family at www.hastingsfuneralhome.com.
