Theestle Frazier

Theestle Catherine Cole Frazier, 90, of Westover, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on March 16, 2018, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center surrounded by family. She was born March 30, 1927, in Terra Alta, WV, the youngest of eleven and the seventh daughter of Jacob Scott and Mary Ellen Lucinda Cole, all of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Lewis Frazier, 1975, her first husband, Hoye McClelland (Bill) Pysell, 1945, and one granddaughter, Shannon Adams, 2014. A devoted mom and grandmother, Theestle is survived by her four daughters and their husbands; Gloria Jean Pysell and Charles Vannoy, Powder Springs, GA; Linda and Kenneth Bloniarz, Morgantown, WV; Brenda and Robert Adams, Westover, WV; and Lori and William Fritz II, Sequim, WA, and nine grandchildren with their spouses: Robin and Judah Bradley, Warner Robins, GA; Jason and Susan Vannoy, Powder Springs, GA; Christopher and Angela Vannoy, Antalya, Turkey; Kendra and John Barone, Morgantown, WV; Craig and Misty Bloniarz, Morgantown, WV; Matthew and Tiffany Adams, Norfolk, VA; Katelyn Fritz, Cedarville, OH; and Hannah Fritz, Washington, DC; and 13 great grandchildren. A lifelong resident of Westover, she attended Jerome Park Elementary, Sabraton Junior High, and Morgantown High School. She was a member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church as well as several other community organizations including the Red Hats, VFW Post 9916 where she served as Women's Auxiliary President, Eagles, Moose Lodge, and the Westover Women's Club. She also volunteered at the Creative Arts Center and at Mon General Hospital. A member of the Senior Monongalians, and both the BOPARC and Westside Senior Center, she loved traveling with them to Myrtle Beach every summer and playing Bingo with ridiculous luck at winning! She loved to travel, missing only North Dakota in her exploration of the 50 states, sailed on many cruises, and enjoyed trips to see her beloved family. She was an avid reader and her favorite pastimes included enjoying WVU football and game shows, especially Family Feud, getting her nails impeccably manicured, and playing games like Scrabble, cards, and Words with Friends with her family, usually winning with a mischievous twinkle in her eye and a smile on her face. She made the best coconut cream pie, was never without her teeth, and was always ready with a witty comeback. She will be missed more than you can imagine. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV, on Tuesday, March 27th from 5-8 PM and again on Wednesday, March 28th from 10 AM until the funeral service celebrating her life at 11 AM with Reverend David Goodin officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Theestle's memory to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
