Thelma Boyers

Thelma M. Boyers, of Bridgeport WV, formerly of Morgantown, passed away on September 9, 2018, at the age of 101. She was born on March 2, 1917, the daughter of Dr. Cyrus F. and Rosa K. Boyers. After graduating from Morgantown High School, Thelma attended Morgantown Business College and West Virginia University. Upon graduation, she enjoyed a long career at the WV Bureau of Mines. In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her two brothers, Drs. Fred E. and Harold H. Boyers. She is survived by a large, loving extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Thelma was a petite, refined lady with exquisite taste and a love of flowers and decorating. Sharing family history and stories was her passion as well as spending time with friends and relatives. Her infectious giggles, joy, and optimism will not be forgotten and her wit and wisdom enriched all who knew her. A graveside service will be held at East Oak Grove Cemetery in Morgantown, WV on Saturday, September 22 and 11:00 am with Rev. Jerry Kliner, STS officiating.
