Thelma Cox

Thelma L. Cox, 87, currently of Milton,WV, widow of James W. Cox, died Tuesday, at Rivers Bend Nursing Home in OH. She obtained the rank of 1st Lt. of the Army Nurse Corp during WW II. She was a Registered Nurse for years in Morgantown and retired from Monongalia General Hospital. Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Wooten & husband Steve of Milton, WV two grandchildren, Mark Bruner of Huntington, WV and Dawna Adkins & husband Lee of Ceredo, WV two great-grandchildren, Shawna Bruner of Delaware and Kailyn Adkins of Ceredo, WV and one sister, Dorothy Cain of Westover. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Cora Burchinal, a daughter, Jimayne Cox, and four brothers, William, Delbert, Robert & Frank Burchinal.Visitation is from 11 am until the funeral service at 12 Noon Friday, April 9th at at Hastings Funeral Home. Interment will follow in East Oak Grove Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
