Thelma (Liller) Zilkanich

Mrs. Thelma Pauline (Liller) Zilkanich of Morgantown, West Virginia passed on from this life peacefully, at home with her son and grandson at her bedside, at 9:40 a.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at the age of 86. Thelma was born to parents Ralph and Myrtle (Weatherholt) Liller of Garrett County, Maryland. Her parents moved to Morgantown shortly thereafter, and she became a lifelong resident. She grew up as the youngest of six children and ultimately married her only sweetheart, John Zilkanich, who preceded her in death on April 15, 2016. Thelma and John were baptized and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses throughout their lives while working and raising their family until health conditions prevented their attendance. Thelma and John leave four surviving children: Sandra L. Cook (George, Jr.) of Morgantown; Brenda K. Petrisin (Dennis) of Rostraver, PA; John D. Zikanich (Danielle Hartzell) of Morgantown; Kenneth T. Zilkanich (Louise) of Morgantown as well as six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren: Daniel Cook (Kim), Alexandra and Quinn of Toronto, CAN; Rachel Peters (Tyler), Treyson and Cicilia of Easton, PA and Michele Petrisin (Adam Bridge), Adam Lee Bridge of Belle Vernon, PA; Brandon Zikanich of Morgantown; Kristina Zilkanich and Tiffany Zilkanich of Morgantown. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings: Dallas Liller, Ruby (Liller) Goodin, Deward Liller, all of Morgantown, and AnnaBell (Liller) Shaluta of Lewisburg, WV. Her only surviving sibling is Juanita (Liller) Adams of Lynchburg, Virginia. In accordance with Thelma's wishes, cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home, Omega Crematory. The private scattering of ashes of Thelma and John will occur at a later date, time, and place to be designated by the surviving family. The family is grateful for all condolences.
