Valerie Jane Soares

Valerie Jane Soares, 50, of Morgantown, WV, passed away at Ruby Memorial Hospital on September 5th, 2017. She was born September 26, 1966 and raised in the beautiful state of California. She had been living in Morgantown since 2005. She is survived by her 4 children: Mark 30, Melanie 28, Brittany 26, and Courtney 24. Also her only grandson Mark Jr. III "Little Mark", 9 years old whom she adored, and always spoke of how she dreamed of watching him play baseball like his dad. Also survived by her mother, Diane; brother, Robbie; sister, Bridget and their respective families of nieces and nephews; and finally, Her soulmate, and whom she always referred to as the "Love of her Life", Lester Rowe, was also by her side. She went from this earth with all the love in her heart she could carry. She will be missed dearly. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Tuesday, September 12th from 10 AM until the time of the memorial service at 11 AM with Pastor Junius Lewis officiating. Her final resting place will be the Ocean.
