Velma Fox

Velma Irene Fox, 85, of 800 JD Anderson Drive, Morgantown, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Sundale Nursing Home.Irene was born in Morgantown on September 21, 1924, the daughter of the late Rev. Chauncey I. Fox and the late Nora Faye (Feathers) Fox. She was predeceased by her aunt Wanda Allen. She was a graduate of Morgantown High School, she was a member of the Highland Park United Methodist Church, former member of Rebecca Lodge and W.C.T. U. Ir ene enjoyed watching WVU sports, and the Steelers. She enjoyed spending time with her extended family, Diane Tokarz, Mary Lou Deaner, Mary Ann Tokarz, Dr. Darrell Sanders Jr, and John White all of Morgantown. Irene is survived by her loving cat Izziy. Friends were received on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from 4-7pm at Hastings Funeral Home. A funeral service was held at 7pm in the funeral home with Rev. Christopher Grudger-Raines officiating. Private burial was held at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
