Vicki Sue Sanders

Vicki Sue Sanders, 68, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at her residence. She was born in Morgantown on June 28, 1958 to the late Levi and Margaret (Adams) Mason.

Vicki graduated from Morgantown High School and worked as a caregiver at several nursing homes throughout the Morgantown area. She loved her job, she loved meeting new people and especially liked talking on the phone, but above all she loved her family and her grandchildren.

Vicki is survived by her children, Christy Higginbotham (Troy), Joseph T. Eakin (Vanesse), and Michael Eakin; grandchildren, Colby Everson, Sierre McClintick, Alex Everson, Dylan Everson, Jasmine Eakin, Madison Arthur, Hunter Eakin, Hayden Simpkins, Anthony Lindsay, Bubba Kennedy, Gavin Eakin, Abryonna Thomas, and Jason Eakin; brother, Tom Mason; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Ted Mason and Randy Mason.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Friday, September 4th from 3:00-8:00 PM. Following the visiting, cremation services will be provided.
