She was 92 years old. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Reedsville. She was a devoted and loving Mother, always giving and putting herself last before her family, whom she loved so dearly. She was especially fond of her grandson Seth, her baby doll, for he holds forever a special place in her heart. Her favorite verse is Proverbs 3 verses 5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." She is survived by her three children: Pastor Terry and Mrs. Goldie Hagedorn, Mrs. Joey (Robert) Hamisch and Mrs. Babette (Ron) Powers. She has one remaining sibling, her brother, Mr. Delbert F. Hilling, Sr. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Rachel (Eric) Sherry, Benjamin (Macy) Huggins, Seth Huggins, Hannah (Jimmy) Smith, Leah Taylor and James Taylor. Her great grandchildren: Grace, Audrey and Maggie Fletcher and Eric, Jr and Mackenzie Sherry. Violet is preceded in death by her loving husband, Mr. Robert B. Hagedorn, her parents Reverend Jess Franklin and Marie McCormick Hilling, and three sisters: Emma Hilling Phillips, Jessie Hilling Zielinski and Mora Hilling Hart. She will be greatly missed by her family. Thank God, because of Christ, we have the blessed hope and promise that by His saving grace we will see our precious mother and grandmother again! Praise God!! If you are without this hope in the Lord, please ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, to come into your heart and to save your soul today. Friends and Family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St. Morgantown, WV, Wednesday, September 20th, from 7-9 p.m. and again on Thursday September 21st from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Terry Hagedorn officiating.
