Virginia Grace Lenhart

Virginia Grace “Ginny” Lenhart, 79, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at her residence. She was born September 13, 1937 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Curtis and Madeline (Spacht) Johnson. Our mother touched and blessed so many hearts serving and managing at the Community Soup Kitchen in Morgantown for 22 years. She knew no stranger and would give to all. God has received a beautiful angel. She is survived by her children, Joseph Swihart III and his wife Nancy, James Lenhart and his wife Lisa, David Lenhart and his wife Pam, Thomas Lenhart and his wife Midge, Michael Lenhart and his wife Kathy, Kathy Lenhart, JoEllen Uphold and her husband Jeff; daughter in law, Marion Lenhart; siblings, Roger Johnson and his wife Marilyn and Joyce White and her husband Joe; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Charles Swihart, Jr.; her second husband, Wilbur Lenhart; children, Leonard Lenhart, and Debra Lenhart; and siblings, Jack Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, and Margaret Dennis. The family wishes to thank Hospice Care and all of the family and friends that have shown love and support, especially Joyce and Joe. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Friday, September 30th from 11 AM until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM with Rev. Keith Hostutler and Rev. Kirk Haas officiating. In keeping with her wishes, following the funeral, cremation services will be performed.
