William James Pierce

William J. Pierce, 87, of Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at home on Sunday, August 6th, 2017. He was born in Buffalo, NY on October 22, 1929. He is survived by his children, Matt, Sandy, Lucy, Dan, Connie and her husband Mark, Tim, Helen and her husband Gary, Clare, special “niner” Darlene, along with David Fogarty and family, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Welma R. Pierce. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Sunday, August 13th from 3-5 PM.
